Under the elegant dark brown wooden surface, the 8-ply birch shell of the new 8000 series ensures a full sound and improved response. Thanks to the unique Yamaha Air Seal System, the shells are absolutely round and evenly shaped. The CT 8000 concert toms can be tuned very precisely and produce a pure, fundamental sound, while the WS-865A double tom stand is available separately.

The choice of different tom sizes is based on the specifications of the successful CT-900 series. Here, the shell depth changes proportionally with the diameter (1/2' shell depth corresponds to 1' diameter, see specification). This size arrangement gives the toms a new kind of full sound, a solid response and a brilliant resonance. The drums can be tuned easily and precisely, offering a wide sound spectrum.
