The new Riedl marching fork with one-handed operation also allows flutists to easily change notes. When the lyre is opened, the stainless steel plate snaps into the horizontal position and thus holds the lyre fork in the open position. After the note change, the stainless steel plate snaps back when light pressure is applied. The lyre is now closed again.
