Like the 2011 TA (top action) and 2011 FA (front action) perinet valve models, the 2011 RA (rotary action) was also developed with Howard Johnson and is based on his Belgian Mahillon Bb tuba from the 1960s. The Melton 2011RA L tuba has an easy response and optimum intonation in every register and thus supports the musician at every performance and rehearsal. Thanks to the large 44 cm diameter bell, the Melton 2011RA L tuba has an enormous sound spectrum and is at home in every style of music.

This tuba is also a real star in terms of weight and handling - and offers the well-known great Melton sound with minimal effort.

As with all other Melton tubas, the original Melton Bb tuba is made from the best materials and is precision-manufactured to ensure that you can enjoy playing a Melton tuba for a long time. The cylinder rotary valve machines reflect the high level of precision of the Melton brand. All Melton cylinder rotary valve instruments are equipped with a spring-loaded double mini ball joint system. As the individual valve trains are aligned upwards, they can be pulled simply and easily even while playing. This also prevents water pockets in the drawbars.
