The Meinl Byzance Foundry Reserve Collection offers a small selection of cymbals that have been equipped by our specialists over many years of development with a variety of nuances and an exceptionally wide sound spectrum. These individual pieces, made using traditional forging techniques, have a unique surface thanks to their 'one-of-a-kind' hammering. This hammer pattern, together with the twisted top and bottom, creates a clear, dry stick response underpinned by a full, voluminous sound carpet. Due to the very elaborate, traditional handwork, these individual sticks are only available in very small quantities. The versatile Light Ride from the Byzance Foundry Reserve Collection offers a dark sustain that quickly transitions into an impressive crash sound. The attack, which is still clearly perceptible, is accompanied by a broad frequency spectrum. Due to its low weight, this light ride can also be played very well with mallets.
