The '57 Classic, introduced in 1990, offers a warm, full sound with balanced response and the power of the classic Gibson Patent Applied For humbucker?. These are built to the same specifications as the originals, including Alnico 2 magnets, nickel-plated pickup covers, nickel slugs, maple spacers and vintage-style braided two-conductor cables. The 57 Classic Humbucker features balanced coils for a smoother, creamier sound and excellent hum suppression. The pickups are wax-filled to remove all air from the interior and avoid any microphonic feedback.
