As a further development of our nEar05 speakers, aktiv 05 presents itself as the next generation of our most successful series of studio monitors. Like its predecessors, aktiv 05 was developed for use in project studios and on editing suites in the audio and video sector. In addition to a new tweeter and an optimized woofer made of Kevlar and an improved suspension, the aktiv 05 developed in Germany is equipped with a completely new active crossover. Kevlar is often only used in much more expensive loudspeakers. ESI has created a new reference in this price range. Kevlar is particularly suitable for the construction of high-quality woofers, as it is a particularly resistant, durable and lightweight material. It is not surprising that our idea has now been adopted by other manufacturers of affordable active monitors, but the use of Kevlar is not the only special feature of our studio monitors. only the combination with the precisely fitting 1' tweeter, which has been slightly adapted and tempered compared to the previous model, and a specially tuned crossover at 2.5kHz guarantees a true-to-life reproduction of the sound, even without the use of an additional subwoofer.

We therefore recommend comparing the various products in this price range not only visually, but also acoustically. On the back of the compact and fully magnetically shielded monitors there is an XLR and jack combo connection for balanced and unbalanced connection and a control for adjusting the input level.
